What You’ll Do The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next ten years. We are a group of relentless optimists and innovators in education, working collaboratively with public and private partners to improve the student experience and expand pathways to economic and social mobility in communities across California. The LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network is a member of the Collaborative Impact team of the Foundation for California Community Colleges and supports meaningful connections between students and employers in California through work-based learning and support services. This position represents an exciting opportunity to help to provide a wide range of administrative and operational support working with multiple educational institutions, industry employers, government agencies, funders, and more. The coordinator’s support will help with initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for low-wage workers to secure middle-skill jobs in California and addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market. Provide other general administrative support to LAUNCH staff, including, but not limited to the following: Proofreading and formatting documents. Assist with event and meeting logistics (e.g., invitations and RSVPs, meeting room arrangements, catering, AV requirements, travel coordination). Prepare expense reports for organization staff. Ordering and tracking office supplies. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Gather, organize and compile information for the preparation of reports and records, and distribute to appropriate individuals, committees, or stakeholders within established timelines. Coordinate communication among associations, industry partners, stakeholders, and team members to foster collaboration and connections between partners and across departments Attributes for Success Minimum of two (2) + years of related work experience in a fast-paced administrative role managing multiple projects. Practices ownership, takes accountability, and has the ability to manage own work, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time with limited supervision. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about registered apprenticeship, the California Community College system and the Foundation’s mission.
