Outpatient Audit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Complex Audit Specialist for a full-time remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate audits of medical record documentation for outpatient encounters
• Utilize coding expertise to compile an OP CDI Education database supporting various revenue cycle projects
• Evaluate medical records for compliance with Local, State, and Federal coding guidelines

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Minimum of two (2) years coding experience required
• Additional specialty coding certification or 5-7 years coding experience preferred
• Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position required
• One to two (1-2) years of college or additional coursework in relevant fields preferred
