Required Skills / Experience
• Proficient in Installation and Configuration of Broadcom (CA) DX NetOps solutions: Spectrum, PM, NFA.
• Proficient in supporting of Broadcom (CA) DX NetOps solutions: Spectrum, PM, NFA for network system monitoring including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless.
• Proficient in Integrating of Broadcom (CA) NetOps (DX NetOps, Spectrum, NFA, PM) with other Broadcom solutions: Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and AIOps (Operational Intelligence Dashboard) solutions.
• Proficient in Integrating of Broadcom (CA) NetOps solutions with third party: Remedy Service Desk
• Proficient in Planning for installation Hardware, Software, Sizing, etc.
• Familiarity with Remedy – creating, working incident, change and work order tickets.
• Certificate Management.
• Familiarity with supporting monitoring tools for network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g. SNMP, MPLS).
• Work closely with network teams (Windows, UNIX, Network, Application etc.) & Broadcom (CA) Support.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, IT Networking, Security, or other related technical degree.
Desired Skills / Experience
• 10+ years’ experience in directly supporting Network Fault Management tools in large enterprises.
• 10+ years’ experience in directly support Network Performance Management tools in large enterprises.
• 5 years’ experience directly supporting Broadcom (CA) NetOps (DX NetOps, Spectrum, NFA, PM).
• Creating and maintaining integration between Broadcom (CA) AIOps solutions: e.g. DX NetOps to Operational Intelligence Dashboard.
• Managing product licenses.
• Proficient in reviewing and installation of new patches for the applications.
• Knowledge of Python, PERL, Groovy or other programming languages common to monitoring tools.
Expert IT Product Specialist – NetOps
The IT Operations Tools team is responsible for the implementation and support for Client monitoring tools for network, systems and applications. Primary users of these tools are Client ENOC, various operations teams, and emergency command centers (ITCC, PSPS, WSOC).
Client is implementing a new monitoring framework to support Network, Systems, and AIOps/ML known as the Enterprise Network Management System (ENMS). The ENMS is a multi-year program to network and infrastructure monitoring. The scope of the effort will support monitoring for 20K+ devices across network, telecom, common facilities, and infrastructure, and introduce new capabilities around AIOps and Automation. This position will report to the Manager of the IT Operations Tools team.
The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of network monitoring and event management technologies associated with large scale enterprise environments. They should have a wide variety of knowledge related to managing network equipment across a range of vendors using enterprise class monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the following. The list is not all inclusive and additional tasks may be assigned to the candidate.
• Installation and Configuration of network monitoring tools.
• Administration – Monitor the general health of the system.
• Meet with network system owners for new monitoring requirements.
• Provision monitoring for network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WaaS)
• Configure tool integration with Remedy.
• Provide client support and training.
• Project Issue Support – provide troubleshooting and support for system Monitoring tools. Log support tickets with vendor, install patches and hotfixes.
• Vulnerability Management – Review and install new patches on servers.
• Transition Project / Build over to the Operations Team
