Network SME – Remote (Preferred Northeast US)

job summary:
We’re hiring a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale infrastructure initiative for a leading public sector client. This is a fully remote opportunity (Northeast U.S. preferred) requiring deep hands-on experience in routing/switching, Cisco ACI SDN, and enterprise network security.

responsibilities:
• Support and optimize large-scale LAN, WAN, and VPN environments
• Troubleshoot critical network issues across Cisco Nexus, F5, firewalls, and Azure environments
• Manage network security, Wi-Fi infrastructure, cabling, DNS/DHCP/IP (Infoblox), and encryptors
• Integrate monitoring tools like SolarWinds with EventOps for streamlined observability

qualifications:
• 8+ years in network infrastructure roles
• Expertise with Routing & Switching, Cisco ACI (SDN), VPN, and Infoblox
• Experience with Azure networking, F5 load balancing, and network encryption
• Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or Azure preferred

skills:
• Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN/VPN infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex network issues
• Optimize delivery, broker, and security services
• Integrate monitoring tools (SolarWinds → EventOps)
• Support ACI, firewalls, Azure networks, load balancers
• Document topology, incidents, and configurations
• Participate in on-call and incident rotations
