About the position
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Apple plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, and maintenance of high-volume, mission-critical enterprise platforms and applications related to Apple Manufacturing and Product lifecycle. This position combines strategic engineering and data science skills with hands-on technical work, allowing the engineer to make a significant impact on Apple products and contribute to the overall customer experience. The role requires a passion for building tools and solutions for scalable platforms, with a focus on security, scalability, and high performance.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain tools and automations for managing Apple’s full product lifecycle management ecosystem.

• Deploy, support, and monitor compute platforms and application stacks.

• Ensure the availability and performance of high-volume, mission-critical enterprise platforms and applications.

• Debug and root cause issues with an instinct to automate repetitive tasks.

• Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions.

• Work effectively across multiple business and technical teams to deliver results on time with high quality.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Experience in Computer Science Fundamentals.

• Relevant internship experience.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools, processes, and best practices.
Nice-to-haves
• Database/SQL knowledge.

• Java and JVM technologies runtime configurations and troubleshooting.

• Application design, development, API programming and improvement using Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Spring, Hibernate, object-oriented analysis and design experience.
