Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types
  • Review provider notes and clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding and reporting
  • Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement teams and educate on coding guidelines


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years' experience in inpatient coding at an Academic Medical Center
  • Accepted certifications include RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
  • Excellent computer skills for effective interaction with providers and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow client Standard Operating Procedures
