A company is looking for an English to Icelandic Patent LQA Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform linguistic quality assessments (LQA) of translated content from English to Icelandic
• Identify and correct linguistic errors, ensuring consistency in terminology and adherence to guidelines
• Provide detailed feedback to translators and create comprehensive quality reports

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in linguistics, translation, biology, or related fields
• 2+ years of experience in translation, linguistic quality assessment, or related fields, specifically in patents or technical content
• Deep understanding of biological terminology and ability to adapt complex scientific language
• Exceptional command of English and Icelandic
• Proficiency in using CAT tools like JIRA and XTM
