Job Summary

A company is looking for a Healthcare Auditor to conduct independent audits supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs in preventing fraud, waste, and abuse.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and document findings from medical record and claims reviews related to fraud, waste, and abuse
• Conduct medical record reviews utilizing knowledge of medical procedures, Medicare policies, and coding guidelines
• Prepare audit documentation and engage with team members to validate results while supporting comprehensive audits

Required Qualifications

• Active Public Trust or ability to obtain one, requiring U.S. citizenship and a favorable background check
• Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no experience required
• Experience auditing by professional standards and knowledge of government payor practices and coding
• Healthcare auditing or regulatory compliance experience will be considered
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with limited supervision
