Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Information Management Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze facility records for inpatient, outpatient, observation, outpatient surgery, and clinic records
• Process requests for medical records, including birth and death certificates, ensuring compliance with state regulations
• Provide customer service support to staff and patients, including answering phone calls and assisting with record requests

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of experience as a HIM Specialist or in a healthcare facility
• Familiarity with electronic medical records
• Understanding of medical terminology and health information concepts
• Ability to perform basic computer functions and data entry
