Job Summary

A company is looking for a Freelance Ticker Copy Editor.

Key Responsibilities

• Newsgathering, fact-checking, headline writing, and copy editing under tight deadlines
• Monitoring live sports events and updating the Ticker with timely news and scores
• Ensuring all Ticker content is well-researched, grammatically correct, and follows editorial style

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of editorial experience, preferably in online or TV media
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and online publishing tools
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proven sports knowledge and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
