Florida Licensed Oncology Data Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily abstraction of cancer cases into the Oncology Data database
• Run and resolve EDITs prior to submission of cases to the State Central Registry and NCDB
• Maintain a log to document the abstraction of all records and submit cases to the State Central Registry as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of current oncology data abstracting experience
• Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C) is required
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) is preferred
• Experience with CoC and State Cancer Registry data standards
• Knowledge of ICD-O-3 and AJCC Staging Manual
