Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various medical records
Assign correct diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding experience in a trauma level 1 academic acute care setting
Experience coding medical and surgical cases across multiple acute care specialties
Proficiency with Epic and 3M software
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
Must hold relevant coding certifications such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P
