Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes with accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements while ensuring confidentiality of patient records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience in a large acute care facility with at least 700 beds
• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• Certification as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
• Experience with Cerner and a CAC, preferably Optum eCAC
• Ability to work 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 5am and 9pm EST
