About the position
The Flight Attendant role at American Express involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and welfare of passengers during flights, while also managing in-flight services and administrative tasks. This position requires flexibility for global travel and on-call availability, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to executive clientele. The role is integral to the Cabin Services Team, which supports the Corporate Flight Department’s mission of delivering a seamless travel experience.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and welfare of passengers.

• Operate with integrity and maintain confidentiality in dealings with passengers.
,
• Implement and operate full cabin management systems.
,
• Serve as an integral member of the flight crew, ensuring prompt delivery of in-flight communications.
,
• Manage a seamless and virtual in-flight office environment.
,
• Provide instruction to passengers on the operation of on-board equipment and safety procedures.
,
• Drive standardization for customers by maintaining passenger preferences and sharing information with the flight attendant team.
,
• Provide training, shadowing, and guidance to full-time and contract flight attendants.
,
• Check aircraft interiors monthly and ensure stock and safety equipment are maintained.
,
• Support and prepare to be on call for Chairman’s trips.
,
• Assist colleagues with aircraft preparations, pre and post-flight duties, and stocking supplies.
Requirements
• Flexibility for 75% global travel and ability to be on call.
,
• Certified from Flight Safety/FACTS with Gulfstream 650/600 Cabin Door Exit and Evacuation Training.
,
• CPR Certification and ability to use a defibrillator.
,
• Food Safety Certification and ability to prepare and organize food services.
,
• Proficiency within cabin technologies and in-flight virtual office.
,
• Familiarity with Apple devices, Microsoft Office, and internal company applications.

• Three years of aviation experience in a similar role, with emphasis on corporate work and global travel.

• Highest level customer service skills, especially with executive clientele.
,
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities independently.

• Strong problem-solving ability and relationship-building skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in plating and food service management.

• Knowledge of food trends and ordering efficiencies for aircraft.
