Job Summary
Perform all tasks involved in the production of products. Performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly line or subassembly line to produce and assemble products.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
In this position the employee will be expected to be able to handle concrete finishing and placing equipment and power tools.
The job consists of breaking down forms that were poured in the previous day and setting them up for pouring. Associates will be expected to be able to use a tape measure and be able to set forms and molds up according to drawings provided. Associates must also be physically capable of working in hot conditions while performing these job duties.
Some examples of job duties are tying rebar and steel wire for placement in the concrete forms, running the stinger vibrator to ensure proper consolidation of concrete, and using power tools and grout to repair any damage to products during demolding.
Nature and Scope
• Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
• Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
Work Environment
• Located in an area that is not environmentally controlled and temperature in work area will be similar to outside.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable
• Availability to commute. Driver license up to date.
Education and Experience
• HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Prior experience working in construction supply or industrial distribution
• Capable to lift between 40-50 pounds continuously.
