Job Summary

A company is looking for an Economist to conduct economic analyses for Bureau of Land Management rulemakings related to energy and minerals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare economic analyses for proposed and final rules
• Assess potential impacts on small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act
• Analyze costs and benefits of proposed regulations following OMB Circular A-4 guidance

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics or related field (PhD preferred)
• 7+ years of professional experience evaluating economic benefits and costs of government regulations
• Experience with regulatory impact analysis under E.O. 12866
• Knowledge of OMB Circular A-4 requirements
• Understanding of Regulatory Flexibility Act analysis
