About the position
The Director/Senior Director of Veterinary Medicine will play a pivotal role in the technical education of both the Company’s personnel and external customers. This position requires the individual to develop and implement comprehensive training programs that cater to various audiences, including sales representatives and veterinary professionals. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, conducting training sessions through ride-alongs with sales representatives and facilitating technical presentations in both formal and informal settings. These settings may include lunch and dinner meetings, technical wet-labs, distributor training sessions, and veterinary medical association meetings and conferences. Building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, as well as faculty, students, and staff at veterinary schools, will be essential to the role. In addition to educational responsibilities, the individual will oversee product support studies, ensuring that the company maintains its reputation for excellence in veterinary medicine. The role is particularly focused on research and development in the area of reproduction and breeding, with an expectation to complete studies that lead to published, peer-reviewed articles. The Director/Senior Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing subject matter training for both internal and external customers, ensuring that all levels of business acumen are addressed. Presentation skills are crucial, as the individual will need to present in various settings, including veterinary conferences and trade shows. The position also involves organizing and supporting regular client meetings to present technical information and provide practical training to staff at all levels. The individual will be expected to deliver prompt technical advice and support to both internal and external customers, thereby enhancing the company’s reputation for expertise. Collaboration with the commercial team is necessary to ensure that marketing campaigns are accurate and effective. The role includes conceiving, planning, organizing, and executing product support trials intended for submission to peer-reviewed journals, which encompasses budget planning, cooperator identification, and data analysis. The Director/Senior Director will represent the company at national and regional conferences, webinars, and other professional events, while also reporting on new trends in veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement internal and external training programs for personnel and customers.

• Expand veterinarian outreach and training on product knowledge and GI Tract Health/Nutrition.

Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
,
• Licensed to practice in at least one US state.
,
• Minimum of 4 years of veterinary practice, with preference for prior industry experience.

• Experience in education, coaching, training, and public speaking to diverse groups.
,
• Dedicated equine experience is a must.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Competency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

• Working knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

• Exceptional coaching, management, organizational, and time management skills.

• Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
