Director of Molecular Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Molecular Science to lead molecular research and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage molecular science research programs to enhance diagnostic testing for rare diseases
• Oversee experiments involving DNA/RNA technologies, gene expression, CRISPR, and molecular diagnostics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in molecular research, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of scientific innovation, publications, and/or patents in molecular science
• Expertise in molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, NGS, and gene editing
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GLP, CLIA, FDA) is a plus
