Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead its engineering team and drive technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and scale the technical architecture, including backend, APIs, and internal tools
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, focusing on high performance in both engineering and AI/ML
• Partner with Product and Design to enhance features and drive the development of AI/ML-powered systems

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with 2-3 years in a technical leadership role
• Experience in scaling SaaS platforms, APIs, or logistics/marketplace systems
• Strong background in backend systems design, particularly distributed systems and high-volume APIs
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML-powered products, especially applied machine learning
• Ability to lead a diverse team while balancing priorities across engineering and ML practices
