Job Summary:

Joining UPS is about becoming part of a proactive Delivery Specialist that ensures customer packages get delivered on time. As a Delivery Specialist, they place value on handling goods with care. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Delivery Specialist:
• Transport packages safely to their destination through UPS while ensuring delivery is done in good time and securely to both residential and commercial areas.
• Customer satisfaction can be achieved by delivering parcels while giving excellent service.
• All UPS employees must adhere to appearance standards as set out in the company policy because it is required by DOT too thereby ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Safe undisturbed transportation of lifted or moved packages weighing up-to 70 lbs. depends on correct ways of handling them during delivery.
• Collaboratively work together with other members of staff so as to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
• Creating detailed records about deliveries made helps in meeting assigned tasks within stipulated time frame.

Qualifications and Experience of Delivery Specialist:
• A valid driver’s license without any records of violation
• Meeting weight lifting qualifications indicated by DOT physical examination which involve carrying objects weighing seventy pounds
• I have good communication skills with clients demonstrated over my various jobs like this one where I had to deal with different customers from diverse backgrounds hence exhibiting excellent customer service abilities developed over time
• An official document showing that someone has attained high school education or equivalent level should be provided upon request
• It would be an added advantage if one has worked as a courier before but it’s not mandatory
