Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder-Professional Surgical (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and assign ICD diagnosis codes and CPT codes for various medical procedures
• Apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes in coding
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and departmental procedures

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of relevant coding courses within one year of hire
• Experience in the medical field or with CPT and HCPCS coding
• Coding certification from recognized organizations within three years of hire
• Preferred: Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field
• Preferred: Experience in physician/professional surgical coding
