Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to support inpatient and outpatient medical coding of various medical claims and records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately assign medical codes from documentation for various outpatient and inpatient services
  • Review documentation to identify and resolve inconsistencies that may affect coding accuracy
  • Educate providers and clinical staff on coding compliance and documentation issues
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
  • 2-3+ years of medical coding experience in a remote environment
  • Experience with outpatient coding and knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Post-high school education in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Certification from an accredited certifying agency relevant to medical coding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
