Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Code and abstract all records including inpatient, ambulatory surgery, and emergency room services
  • Utilize standardized coding and classification systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Assist authorized users in providing aggregate data for education, statistical, managerial, and performance improvement activities
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of coding experience in an acute care setting, with at least 1 year in inpatient coding
  • 3-5 years of inpatient coding experience in a complex acute care facility is preferred
  • CCS: Certified Coding Specialist or RHIT: Registered Health Information Technician certification required
  • Reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service for remote work
  • Ability to work during Pacific Standard business hours
