California Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting and manage month-end close processes
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports and data packs for internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in audit and financial statement preparation for multi-site operations
