California Licensed Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, Accounting to oversee accounting operations and manage a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, ensuring timelines are met
• Supervise and train a team of accountants while processing financial transactions in General Ledgers
• Ensure compliance with SOX, assist with audits, and prepare financial reporting packages

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting or 8+ years of private industry accounting experience, including management experience
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP principles and SOX internal control environments
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with an active CPA license strongly preferred
• Prior experience in managed care industry and corporate accounting preferred
• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity in a newly formed entity
