Biomedical Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist - Information Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and conduct system integration testing for medical equipment
• Perform functional and safety inspections, and develop maintenance strategies for medical devices
• Troubleshoot and repair medical equipment failures, including software-related issues

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Applied Science or a related technical field; equivalent military training may be accepted
• Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment maintaining medical equipment
• At least one year of specialized experience with medical information systems and networked medical equipment
• Proficiency in network configuration, including VLANs, IP addressing, and subnetting
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements from agencies such as The Joint Commission and FDA
