Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cancer Registry Tech.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and collect cancer cases from various medical records and reports
• Abstract and code relevant cancer data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Enter abstracted data accurately into the cancer registry database

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with four years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with one year of abstracting experience
• Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CT CTR) is required
• Strong understanding of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
• Knowledge of cancer registry processes and coding systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and registry software within 60 days of hire
