General Ledger Internship (San Antonio, TX)

The Americas GL Accounting Group is a perfect opportunity for students pursuing a career in accounting with a desire to learn first-hand how a global accounting organization functions on a day-to-day basis. You will have the opportunity to see how the accounting processes and systems work to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.

Must have availability to work up to 25 hours a week and up to 30 hours during the summer on Monday through Friday during regular business hours (Between 8am CDT and 6pm CDT) at our San Antonio office 2-3 days a week for 1 year.

In a typical day, you will:

·       Work on entry-level journal entries and reconciliations.

·       Compile and analyze data in order to prepare supporting schedules.

·       Assist with SOX controls.

·       Work with team members and business partners on day to day operations.

• Classification: Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting.
• Completion of Intermediate Accounting courses.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and business processes.
• Good time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• Availability to work up to 25 hours a week and up to 30 hours during the summer on Monday through Friday during regular business hours (Between 8am CDT and 6pm CDT) at our San Antonio office 2-3 days a week for a 12 week time period.

• Experience with concepts of audit, accounting, and financial reporting.

• Position targeted towards college students in their junior or senior year pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or master's students pursuing a master's degree in accounting.
