Electromechanical Technician

Qualis LLC is seeking a motivated and skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support our engineering and production activities by assisting with the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems. You will work closely with engineers to ensure that systems meet specifications and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electromechanical systems and components.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in electromechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain tools and equipment used in the assembly and testing processes.
  • Document test results and assist in preparing reports for engineering review.
  • Work with engineers to improve assembly processes and product reliability.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in both office and laboratory environments, requiring communication and interaction with team members, management, and clients.

Physical Requirements:

Requires prolonged periods of standing and manual dexterity for assembling delicate components. Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds may be necessary.

Qualifications:

An Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with assembling and testing electromechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CAD software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electromechanical systems.
  • Certifications in technician fields such as soldering, electronics assembly or cabling is a plus.
