QualDerm Partners is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our expanding team. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will be a key player in our clinical team, working closely with physicians to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and instruments are available.
- Perform basic lab tests and adequately prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Schedule patient appointments and facilitate office communications efficiently.
- Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and skincare routines.
- Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in a busy healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software applications.
