We are looking for a Quality Lead to join our team in Flanders, NJ In this role, you will be responsible for driving a compliant culture, ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance with all applicable guidelines, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities- Author and review laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the Quality Manual is updated, distributed as required and aligned with all applicable guidelines, state and federal regulations.
- Conducts internal audits of laboratory activities including but not limited to sample receipt, calculations, test results, equipment maintenance, and training records to ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Ensure samples and materials are received and documented appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Documents and conduct investigations to determine root cause(s) and/or contributing factors for aberrant results or deviations from current operating procedures.
- Drives CAPA (Corrective Action Preventative Action) plans as needed.
- Ensures data integrity and archives records according to required regulations.
- Monitors test results for trends, documents and communicates findings to leadership.
- Serves as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) during internal and external audits.
- Oversees waste disposal by ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, preferred.
- National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), or National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) certification required.
- NJ, NY and PA licenses preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in a laboratory is required.
- Experience with chemical laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment including analytical instrumentation, required.
- Experience with Atomic Absorption (AA), Charcoal Canisters, Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer (GCMS), Liquid Scintillation, Radon in Water, perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), Metals, Nitrates, pH, or other environmental laboratory methods required.
Skills- Prior experience working with laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, balances, pH meters, liquid scintillation counters, laboratory ovens or fume hoods.
- Knowledge on laboratory procedures, techniques, and analytical instrumentation.
- Radiological or other laboratory testing experience required for this position.
- SME in Radiological and/or Analytical testing.
- Experience with LIMS preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as laboratory coats, safety glasses and gloves.
- Highly organized and attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.

This position offers a competitive compensation starting at $
31.00 an hour. Compensation varies based on skill, experience, and location. This position is eligible for competitive benefits and travel reimbursement.
