DevOps Engineer

In support of the warfighter Praxis is offering an opportunity for a cleared DevOps Engineer to support a critical mission. This position is located within Ft Meade and National Business Park. Looking for an experienced engineer. This position has the possibility of remote work, on case by case basis, depending on mission need.

 

What you will be doing:

Praxis Engineering has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to help our program and partners develop technical expertise and capabilities. You will deliver proof-of-concepts, implementations, define patterns, develop strategies, optimize deployments, and develop new capabilities. The focus of the role is to deploy key customer solutions including web applications and enterprise applications.

Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering that combines COTS, open-source, and custom microservices.

 

What you need:

  • Technical depth across the Full DevOps Spectrum 
  • Practical experience with Linux
  • Understand DevSecOps best practices
  • Experience with IT implementation, primary using AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., Java, shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
  • Practical configuration management experience using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet, Terraform, etc.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science. May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS
  • Eight (8) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps
  • Recent experience within the last three years: Kubernetes, using containerization and cluster orchestration
  • SWE2/3  C++ full stack developer, container development a plus not required. DevSecOps/DevOps
  • Willing to work in an office environment to deliver professional services

 

Location: Ft Meade, MD area. Possibility of up to 1 day of remote

Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role

 

Salary range: (Externally posted)

$121,739.00 - $247,262.00 (Annually)* (info from LCAT table for BS + 8yrs of experience)
