E-Payment Specialist (Remote)

Your Role: The E-Payment Specialist is responsible for optimizing online payment processes, managing payment gateway performance, and resolving payment-related issues, including refunds. This role focuses on enhancing transaction success rates, improving payment system functionality, and ensuring smooth financial transactions. The E-Payment Specialist collaborates with payment service providers to optimize payment operations across various company platforms. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with experience in e-commerce or ticketing industries. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to support multiple GCC markets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Payment Gateway Management
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of integrated payment gateways (e.g., Amazon Payment Services, Checkout.com).
    • Troubleshoot payment acceptance issues and collaborate with payment providers to resolve operational challenges. Act as the primary liaison with payment service providers to resolve operational issues.
    • Monitor daily transaction success rates and declined payments, Investigate reasons for payment failures, such as card issuer rejections or system errors.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations for payment processes. Monitor and manage refund processing for canceled events and payment disputes.
    • Investigate and resolve refund failures, including issues such as declined refunds or invalid payment methods. Verify refund eligibility and compliance with company policies before processing refunds.
    • Collaborate with the Customer Finance Coordinator to address refund-related customer inquiries.
    • Ensure all refunds are processed within the company’s established timelines.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on payment performance and transaction issues, including refunds.
    • Communicate payment-related updates to internal teams, including Customer Finance Coordinator and fraud prevention teams.
    • Collaborate with Customer Finance Coordinator and fraud teams to resolve payment-related issues or disputes.
    • Work closely with fraud prevention teams to investigate flagged transactions and mitigate fraud risks.
    • Participate in the testing and optimization of new payment gateway features and system updates.
    • Work closely with internal teams and recommend improvements to payment workflows based on observed transaction patterns and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years in e-payment processing, payment gateway management, or transaction monitoring.
  • Experience in e-commerce, ticketing, or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience handling financial transactions, refunds, and customer payment issues in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with payment gateway platforms (e.g., Amazon Payment Services, Checkout.com, Stripe).
  • Familiarity with online payment methods (cards, wallets, bank transfers).
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret payment data and identify issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in tracking and resolving payment-related issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively collaborates with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identifies and resolves transaction challenges.
  • Time Management: Manages multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Minimum B2 level in English (C1 and C2 are a surplus). Strong communication skills are essential.
