Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PPNCSNJ) provides comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care, abortion services, education and information to women, men and teens at 17 health centers throughout 18 counties in New Jersey.


$62,000 - $62,000 a year
Pay: $62,000 annually salary
Hours: 35 hr work week, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full Time, 5-day work week-Onsite
Location: Hackensack or Perth Amboy, New Jersey

Job Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education/Certification(s):  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
 Minimum Work Experience:  Minimum three (3) years of experience providing IT Support.
 Other Requirements:  Valid driver’s license. Reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.
 
Technical Skills:
·     Experience managing a helpdesk ticketing system
·     Proficient with NextGen EPM and EHR
·     Strong knowledge of supporting both Windows desktops / laptops, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Apple products like Mac, iPhone and iPad as well as Android based mobile devices
·     Basic networking knowledge. Network operations experience is a plus
·     Ability to prioritize multiple urgent requests
·     Experience providing tier 1 tech support, both in person and remotely
·     Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS
·     Microsoft Exchange Server 2016
·     Office 2016 (the entire suite including MS Project)
·     Basic Outlook support / Changing Exchange Passwords
·     Audio/Video (projectors/microphones/sound) support
·     Able to support Abila MIP Advance & FR50
·     Experience with VoIP phone systems
·     Connectivity support /changing IP addresses
·     Experience working with vendors when troubleshooting needs escalation
·     Excellent documentation skills and both verbal and written communication skills
·     Wireless Networking
·     Crystal Reports experience
·     Experience with Video Conferencing Technology

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The IT Support Specialist performs a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:


1.  Provides technical support and education for all information technology (IT), office equipment and telecommunications systems, including software, hardware and basic network administration.  Schedules related service calls (equipment repair and maintenance) as needed.
2. Works with the Affiliate IT Department to assure the highest and best use of the affiliate Help Desk software, including striving to assure consistency in entering tickets and building the system knowledge base.  Assure written procedures surrounding use of the application.  Coordinate the expansion of Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PPNCSNJ) use of helpdesk software functionality and assure technicians receive training in these other modules.
3. Conducts quality improvement (QI) efforts by analyzing Help Desk software reports, sharing QI results with IT Administrator / CAO, and recommending corrective action for areas needing improvement.
4. Provides IT training and orientation to PPNCSNJ users.  Trains users on security measures that affect their use of the system as required by HIPAA.
5.  Chronicles and tracks progress on the various IT projects as discussed in IT meetings.
6.  Supports all database applications used by the organization.
7.  Researches and makes recommendations for purchases or leases of IT and communications systems (including software and hardware) and office equipment, including maintenance and support contracts.
8. Reviews invoices, correspondence and inquiries related to areas of responsibility and processes check request forms for payment of invoices.  Monitors and maintains records of payment.
9.  Works with Call Center on all required technical needs.
10. Participates in the Affiliate’s efforts related to revenue cycle, which include but are not limited to: achieving goals for productivity; meeting or exceeding revenue targets; and expense management as budgeted.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING SKILLSAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to take decisive action. Ability to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/MOTOR COORDINATION
Requires hand-eye coordination; finger dexterity, and a combination of sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds). Must be able to write, type, use telephone and computer systems, and other office equipment.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to routine office conditions as well as adverse environmental conditions such as dust, temperature and noise extremes, etc.   May be exposed to infectious or contagious disease.
