Base: Home office (potentially with occasional visits to HQ)
Renumeration: This is an unpaid internship.
Expected workload: 10 - 20hrs/month – time flexible

Background of the role: The Relief and Development Department (RDD) at People in Need focuses on both humanitarian aid and development work. The GIS Intern will support the collaborative work, particularly in WASH sector, of the Digital Unit and the Knowledge and Learning Department, both integral parts of RDD.
About the role: The GIS Intern will have the opportunity to learn about People in Need’s activities, gain experience in the NGO sector, and develop knowledge at the intersection of GIS and WASH. The primary focus will be on post-implementation monitoring of WASH projects. In a supporting role, the intern will work closely with the Senior GIS Officer, who coordinates and supports the practical aspects of their work, and the Technical Advisor for Sustainable Water Services, who sets priorities and provides WASH technical guidance.
