As a Digital Activation Strategist, you will be a key member of the product & marketing team, driving SEM and SEO strategies for Pelmorex, The Weather Network and MeteoMedia brands across our D2C and B2B divisions. Your role will involve enhancing our digital presence through effective search engine marketing, organic search optimization and other digital strategies for the business. Balancing technical expertise with strategic thinking, you'll ensure alignment with marketing goals to maximize audience engagement, conversions, and growth across our portfolio of brands.

This is a remote position, but we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work and are currently located in Canada only.

The role requires working in East Standard Hours.




WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE
  • SEM/Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, execute, and optimize user acquisition strategies, including SEM on Play/App Stores, App Store Optimization, and social media platforms  and PPC strategies to acquire audiences in key markets supporting our global acquisition efforts 
  • Determine the best digital channels (e.g., SEM, social media, email marketing, programmatic) to achieve campaign objectives and business goals.
  • Effectively manage budgets, allocating and optimizing according to the best media mix and to maximize ROI.
  • In conjunction with the team, implement, optimize and execute successful digital marketing campaigns aligned with goals such as brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention for our B2C and B2B divisions
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the effective deployment of and performance tracking of digital and creative across various platforms and ad networks including any landing page set up and troubleshooting
  • Oversee relationships with lead-gen vendors, agencies, and other vendor partners.
  • Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve results and uncover insights 
  • Utilize digital analytics tools to gain insights into user behavior, campaign performance and customer journey 
  • Experiment with new platforms and channels and analyze target demographics aligned with our brand positioning and marketing strategy
  • Conduct A/B tests on ad creatives, and targeting to refine strategies and increase conversion rates.
  • Provide reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership, product, and marketing teams SEM performance. 
  • Provide strategy, support and analysis of our email marketing efforts to incorporate strategies into broad campaigns to optimize outreach and management efforts
  • Stay informed of platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry trends to apply best practices.

SEO Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to Increase organic visibility, keyword rankings, and traffic for our digital platforms for B2C and B2B divisions 
  • Identify content opportunities and optimize website content, metadata, & internal linking
  • Be the go-to for SEO and collaborate with product teams and developers to address technical SEO issues and provide recommendations.
  • Execute technical SEO including optimizing website content, metadata, internal linking, and structure to improve crawlability and propose web improvements and core vitals with knowledge of web development language (HTML, Javascript, CSS and JSON) 
  • Work with product and content teams to ensure all website content is SEO-friendly, follows best practices, and aligns with targeted keywords.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other platforms. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve results.
  • Continuously conduct keyword research to identify opportunities to improve crawlability and overall search rankings.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits to ensure best practices are followed, identify growth opportunities, and analyze competitors to uncover SEO advantages.
  • Analyze and report on SEO metrics (ROI and KPIs) to assess effectiveness and suggest improvements.

  • Responsabilités en SEM/Marketing Digital :

  • Élaborer des stratégies, apporter un soutien et analyser nos efforts en email marketing pour intégrer ces stratégies dans des campagnes globales et optimiser les efforts de sensibilisation et de gestion.
  • Se tenir informé des mises à jour des plateformes, des changements d'algorithmes et des tendances de l'industrie afin d'appliquer les meilleures pratiques.

  • Responsabilités en SEO :

WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE
  • University Degree/Diploma in Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of SEM, PPC and SEO experience with a track record of user acquisition, campaign management, and increasing organic traffic.
  • Expertise in paid search platforms (Google Ads, Apple, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn) and PPC srategies
  • Strong understanding of iOS/Android ecosystems 
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush) and web analytics.
  • Knowledge of web development language (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, etc.) 
  • In-depth knowledge of technical SEO, trends, and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about digital advertising and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Bilingual (EN/FR) would be an asset

  • Qualifications:
