General Summary

The Marketing Coordinator, Events is responsible for assisting with marketing efforts and brand initiatives that will help broaden the base of paying users. This includes supporting the planning, logistics, and execution of branded events across the U.S. and Europe (‘backyard’ events in Colorado, Life Time, Chamonix UTMB, etc.). This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who’s highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn brand and event marketing from the ground up.

This is a temporary position that is paid on an hourly basis. The anticipated duration of this position is 4 months from June-September.

You will sit directly with the Marketing Team, work closely with the Brand Specialist. and report to Manager, Brand Marketing.

Core Functions: 

  • Assist in pre-event, on-site, and post-event logistics coordination for brand events and activations, approximately 20 hours/week
  • On-site booth staffing at events locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Manage packing, shipping, and tracking of branded event materials
  • Support pre-event planning: timeline management, vendor coordination, and event staff travel planning
  • Help set up and staff event booths and activations (travel required)
  • Maintain organized on-site inventory of event supplies, branded assets, and collateral
  • Support recap and reporting processes (photos, budget tracking, insights)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally between Brand, Creative, and Partnerships as needed

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or relevant internships, ideally in endurance sports / outdoor industry. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
  • Positive, solutions-first mindset
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and timelines
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional weekends for event support
  • Passion for endurance sports or familiarity with TrainingPeaks a big plus
  • Customer-service orientated and positive attitude 
  • Regular professional interaction with colleagues, vendors, partners and customers  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience working at endurance events (as participant, volunteer, or staff)
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools (Asana, Airtable, or similar)
  • Comfort working with shipping vendors, asset management, or light budgeting
  • Social media savvy or content capture skills

Compensation:

Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $18.27 to $30.45 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

All employees must comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.  Report all unsafe activities to your manager and/or Human Resources.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and move about the facility; use hands to handle, or feel; talk by expressing ideas by means of the spoken word; and hear by perceiving the nature of sounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
