Assistant Purchasing Agent $20-$24 an hour

Parallel Employment group is excited to announce that we have an assistant purchasing agent role with one of our customers in the Lancaster NY Area. In this role you will be working on procuring and expediting electrical components, ensuring on time delivery of product and other purchasing roles as needed.

Responsibilities: 

• As assigned, procure and expedite electronic components and circuit boards that conform to requirements of drawings/specifications, quality, delivery date and special customer requirements. 
• Identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Ensure on time delivery of released purchase orders by proactively monitoring and communicating expected deliveries.
• Participate the management of a Supplier Scorecard program. This includes communicating supplier ratings and administering the supplier corrective action for those suppliers rated as unacceptable, recognizing suppliers who achieve excellence in their rating.
• Assisting in BOM's when needed. 
• Maintain and update files.

• Computer knowledge
• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position.
