About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Sales (Mortgage & Tax Services) to grow and lead a high-performing sales team. In this role, you will be expected to improve sales performance metrics of the entire salesforce, develop cutting-edge sales strategies as well as train and mentor the entire team.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing and cross-selling, ensuring efficiency and high conversion rates.
  • Analyze sales data and pipelines (via HubSpot) to identify trends, optimize performance, and report insights to leadership.
  • Drive initiatives to improve lead quality, team productivity, and client retention with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations).

Sales Coaching and Mentoring:

  • Coach and mentor a global sales team to exceed KPIs (e.g., lead conversion rates, deal closures, client satisfaction scores).
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, sales huddles, and team meetings to align on goals and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Client Experience:

  • Ensure your team delivers tailored, high-touch solutions for expat clients navigating complex mortgage and tax scenarios.
  • Build a reputation for Odin as the go-to trusted partner for Australian property finance.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing to refine lead generation strategies and with customer success to maximise cross-sell opportunities.
  • Maintain seamless communication across global teams via Slack, email, and video calls.

Desired Experience:

  • Proven Sales Leadership: Minimum 5 years of experience managing and mentoring sales teams, with a record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
  • People Management: Skilled in managing and growing sales teams (10 - 20 members) to hit cold calling, outbound, inbound and general sales targets.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize both inbound and outbound sales strategies
  • Training & Development: Experience creating and delivering training programs to develop sales skills, enhance closing techniques, and improve overall sales metrics.
  • Performance Management: Strong background in setting KPIs, monitoring individual and team targets, and maintaining accountability through regular evaluations and performance reviews.

Favorable Experience:

  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with mortgage brokerage, financial services, or accounting—especially for clients located overseas.
  • Tech-Savvy Sales Tools: Hands-on experience with various sales engagement and automation tools
  • Global Experience: Experience with global or expat clients is a plus (not required).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in sales leadership, finance, or mortgage broking are a bonus.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and coaching ability to inspire and elevate team performance.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and refine strategies.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills across phone, video, and email.
  • Results-driven mindset with expertise in sales funnels, conversion optimization, and client relationship management.
