Real opportunities. Real impact. Your career, redefined.
(NOTE: A human reviews every application at Oceans, so please apply for only one position and only once a year—if you're a better fit for another role, we’ll route your application accordingly and if we’re not quite ready for you, we’ll reach back out later.)
At Oceans, we believe that talent knows no boundaries. That’s why we connect the best and brightest professionals with career-defining opportunities that challenge, inspire, and accelerate their career growth. Our community, whom we call Divers, don’t just work—they dive deep, solve complex challenges, and make a real impact with global industry leaders. And in doing so, they don’t just support bold ideas—they expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers.
The Associate Trainer will play a key role in executing Oceans’ training and development strategy.
This role will focus on designing, delivering, and continuously improving learning programs to enhance the skills and readiness of Divers at different career levels and across different specialities (Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Marketing Operations, Business Operations, Chief of Staff, etc).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in adult learning methodologies, instructional design, and coaching, ensuring all training initiatives align with business objectives and individual career progression.
You will have four primary focus areas, with the expectation that you will be measured on your ability to minimize Diver-related client churn. That means:
Design & Delivery of Learning Programs:
Business Interventions & Skill Development:
Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
Collaboration & Knowledge Management:
Your primary partners will be the Divers themselves. Internally, you’ll work closely with our Training, HR, and Integration teams to help our clients get the most from the Oceans talent network. Where it makes sense to expand our relationship, you’ll also work with our Integration team to ensure the best Diver-Client relationship ensues.
While working cross-functionally, this role reports to the Head of Training.
At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped people with one area of deep vertical expertise and broad horizontal interests. As a Learning & Development Partner / Trainer, the legs of your T should be in deeply understanding the needs of both Divers & Clients and making sure those needs are clearly addressed and accurately communicated through our Learning & Development strategy. Your arms should extend to an understanding of how our Clients’ businesses function, how Oceans can grow and develop employees, and where global talent fits into that growth. Previous experience working with global talent, business operations, and client-facing roles will be an asset.
Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to be able to manage, work with, and serve people from a broad range of backgrounds in an inclusive manner that supports both individual and collective dignity.
During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:
This is a hybrid role and you should expect to be in-person roughly 1 to 2 days a week in Colombo. During the offer process, we’ll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, along with an opportunity to update our understanding of both market and individual factors.
At Oceans, we build remote teams that connect the world’s top 1% of talent with visionary leaders. With us, you’re not just doing a job—you’re redefining your career with opportunities designed to unlock your potential. We welcome the chance to discuss the complementary parts of our business during your interview process and encourage questions about where we are and where we are going.
