Noble Thermodynamics is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects supporting the development of next-generation clean power plants. In this role, you will oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full project lifecycle—from design through procurement, permitting, construction, and commissioning.

You will actively manage and coordinate engineering, operations, and external partners to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. You will drive critical planning and execution activities including contractor oversight and coordination, schedule management, cost tracking, risk mitigation strategy, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a goal-oriented, technically proficient leader with strong project execution instincts and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating the deployment of clean power generation technology through rigorous project delivery and operational discipline. Successful execution in this role will expand affordable access to clean and reliable power, by improving energy system reliability and cost competitiveness while  also delivering measurable, large-scale reductions in global air-pollutants and carbon emissions.

Responsibilities

As the lead project manager, you will manage multiple projects with multi-disciplinary teams and are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  1. Own end-to-end project management of engineering projects, from design through commissioning
  2. Develop and manage efficient project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and execution plans that minimize costs and accelerates development

  4. Identify  sources of friction or potential improvements and executes plans to capture such opportunities
  5. Oversee and coordinate partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and on-budget, on-time, high-quality project execution
  6. Enforce quality standards and compliance with regulatory and safety requirements across all project stakeholders
  7. Serve as the center point of contact for project communications between internal and external stakeholders
  8. Allocate resources effectively – aligning personnel, contractor time, and equipment with task requirements, while minimizing working capital stress and timeline delay risks
  9. Prepare regular and accurate project status update (e.g., KPIs), progress reports, presentations, schedules and budget forecasts for relevant stakeholders
  10. Organize and host useful team meetings as necessary to facilitate stakeholder alignment and synchronization, and informed decision making
  11. Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and change control processes
  12. Oversee, motivate, and monitor the performance of the project team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and address performance gaps

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and demonstrated expertise:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or chemical preferred) from an accredited institution
  2. 10+ years of engineering project management experience across the full project lifecycle in the power generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical, or EPCM sector
  3. Experience managing external project partners, contractors, vendors, and government stakeholders
  4. PMP certification or formal eng. management credentials, and proficient with project management tools and methodologies
  5. Must have executed at least one Major Capital Project with a TIC of 5+ MM USD

This role demands the following core competencies:

  3. Full complement of project management skills including project scoping and estimating utilizing work breakdown structures, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, team building, resource planning, procurement and permitting.
  4. Rigorous project control, developing and maintaining practical, high-quality data-driven tracking systems for timelines and budgets, anticipating risks and taking corrective actions promptly
  5. Strong Interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and resolve conflict and disagreements between project stakeholders
  6. Resiliency under pressure, maintaining clarity, decisiveness, and following-through when facing tight deadlines or high-stakes challenges
  7. Professional and respectful demeanor/attitude
  8. Attention to detail

An exceptional candidate would also bring the following skills:

  1. Experience managing power generation development projects.
