Noble Thermodynamics is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects supporting the development of next-generation clean power plants. In this role, you will oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full project lifecycle—from design through procurement, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
You will actively manage and coordinate engineering, operations, and external partners to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. You will drive critical planning and execution activities including contractor oversight and coordination, schedule management, cost tracking, risk mitigation strategy, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a goal-oriented, technically proficient leader with strong project execution instincts and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, your exceptional leadership and communication skills will complement your technical expertise as you coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in the planning and execution of engineering projects, including the preparation of project bids. You will clearly and convincingly present complex ideas, drive decision-making, secure stakeholder buy-in, and foster collaboration to achieve outstanding collective outcomes.
You will play a pivotal role in accelerating the deployment of clean power generation technology through rigorous project delivery and operational discipline. Successful execution in this role will expand affordable access to clean and reliable power, by improving energy system reliability and cost competitiveness while also delivering measurable, large-scale reductions in global air-pollutants and carbon emissions.
Responsibilities
As the lead project manager, you will manage multiple projects with multi-disciplinary teams and are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end project management of engineering projects, from design through commissioning
- Develop and manage efficient project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and execution plans that minimize costs and accelerates development
- Track project performance against cost and schedule baselines, communicating and resolving issues proactively
- Identify sources of friction or potential improvements and executes plans to capture such opportunities
- Oversee and coordinate partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and on-budget, on-time, high-quality project execution
- Enforce quality standards and compliance with regulatory and safety requirements across all project stakeholders
- Serve as the center point of contact for project communications between internal and external stakeholders
- Allocate resources effectively – aligning personnel, contractor time, and equipment with task requirements, while minimizing working capital stress and timeline delay risks
- Prepare regular and accurate project status update (e.g., KPIs), progress reports, presentations, schedules and budget forecasts for relevant stakeholders
- Organize and host useful team meetings as necessary to facilitate stakeholder alignment and synchronization, and informed decision making
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and change control processes
- Oversee, motivate, and monitor the performance of the project team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and address performance gaps
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and demonstrated expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or chemical preferred) from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of engineering project management experience across the full project lifecycle in the power generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical, or EPCM sector
- Experience managing external project partners, contractors, vendors, and government stakeholders
- PMP certification or formal eng. management credentials, and proficient with project management tools and methodologies
- Must have executed at least one Major Capital Project with a TIC of 5+ MM USD

- Strong Interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and resolve conflict and disagreements between project stakeholders
- Resiliency under pressure, maintaining clarity, decisiveness, and following-through when facing tight deadlines or high-stakes challenges

An exceptional candidate would also bring the following skills:
- Experience managing power generation development projects.
- Familiarity with relevant agencies, industry codes, safety standards, and best practices (e.g., EPA, CARB, DOE, OSHA, NEC, ASME, API, etc.)

- Must be willing and able to travel to project sites as needed
- Must be willing and able to conduct field work including lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and navigating active construction or industrial sites
