As an Engineering Manager of the Traffic team at Nextdoor, the team will play a critical role in attracting new users by ensuring their initial experiences with our platform are both engaging and valuable. You will lead a talented team of engineers tasked with architecting, developing, and maintaining essential external surfaces, including those involving third-party integrations. Your efforts will focus on growing our organic user acquisition channels and driving intentional traffic to Nextdoor.
As a key player in our team’s efforts, you will oversee the optimization of SEO strategies and other traffic-driving mechanisms, such as content sharing and user invites. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners to effectively support the implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
In your capacity as a technical leader, you will guide your team through complex projects and challenges while managing the professional development and growth of each team member. Your leadership will be pivotal in advancing both the team's objectives and the overall mission of enhancing user experiences on Nextdoor.
The organization that Traffic team sits in is a widely remote organization with main hubs in San Francisco and New York. The preferred location for this candidate is in San Francisco but we are open to outstanding candidates in New York or looking to relocate.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $220,000 - $270,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.
We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.
Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
