As a Senior HR Advisor, you will be the go-to expert for managers and employees on all HR matters, ensuring our policies and procedures are not only followed but also embody Newton’s values in every way. Key responsibilities:
- Advisory Support: Proactively collaborate with People Business Partners to anticipate HR needs and deliver exceptional service that drives a high-performance culture. Provide comprehensive HR support and guidance, actively contributing to the development of organisational and people capabilities that align with the broader business strategy.
- Employee Relations: Independently manage a diverse caseload of employee relations activities, including wellbeing, performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Ensure a consistent approach across all clusters, upholding company policies, values, and legal requirements at every step. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Streamline and optimise day-to-day administration of people processes, leveraging innovative tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Change Management: Support transformative change within the organisation by providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of change management initiatives, including navigating the complexities of acquisitions, managing contractual changes, or supporting team restructures.
- Systems & Data Management: Manage and contribute to the management of HRIS, ensuring its optimisation for company needs and seamless integration into daily operations. Ensure the maintenance of employee records in our HR systems, always ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process Improvement: Leverage a proactive approach to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance HR processes. Use strategic thinking and data analysis to drive continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering measurable outcomes. Proactively identify and lead on opportunities to establish an HR centre of excellence.
- Compliance & Policy: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and best practice to ensure that all people processes and policies are compliant, providing updates and advice on changes in employment law. Take a leading role in creating and updating processes and policies that resonate with our culture and values, fostering a workplace environment where compliance meets innovation, and every action contributes to our collective success.
- People Projects: Take a leading role on transformative people initiatives, driving impactful projects such as diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, and policy evolution. Partner across teams to foster meaningful change, championing long-term organisational growth and an exceptional workplace culture.
- Reporting: Play a key role in crafting insightful HR reports and analytics, transforming data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision-making. Proactively identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing expert recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness and performance.

The successful candidate will also possess the following attributes:
- Proven and extensive experience in an HR advisory or generalist role, within a fast-paced or high-growth environment and with the ability to manage an employee relations caseload across the breadth of related activity.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of people practices, culture, business acumen, analytics, digital working and change management.
- Vast experience in policy creation and process improvement with the ability to implement these across the wider business.
- Consistently considers the bigger picture relating to broader business context and associated risks.
- Actively challenges existing norms and drives continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with legislation, best practices, principles, and company values.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- High professional standards including quality of work, high accuracy, and attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously is essential, as is being able to competently build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion and exemplify a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.
- Comfortable working with HR systems and using data to inform recommendations.
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent qualification/experience.
There will be occasional UK travel with this role, usually no more than one night and day per fortnight to Company Review Days, and other ad hoc meetings as required.

We offer a highly competitive salary (£45,000 - £50,000) and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 27 days holiday (not including bank holidays). We also operate a profit share scheme so that our people share in the success of the business. The profit share bonus is based on company performance and typically paid out in March and September.
