We are New10, a financial service scale-up initiated by ABN AMRO Bank. At New10 we believe that business financing should be easy and accessible. We are on a quest to transform the financing ecosystem by using the speed and innovative strength of a fintech with the expertise and funding of a bank to deliver a fast, simple and clear financing experience to SME businesses. To support our growth towards this ambition, we’re looking for a Medior / Senior Backend Engineer.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Extensive experience with Typescript/Node.js and Python
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB
• Familiarity with serverless architectures
• Strong experience with designing, managing and working with REST APIs
• In addition to technical skills, the successful applicant should possess durable skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, communication, (self-)leadership, organisation, time management, presentation skills.

 What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate on architecture, technical design and the building of applications so that together with fellow software engineers you help to improve the team’s competency
• Produce clean, stable, fast and well-architected code
• Own the quality of the code you produce by taking measures to build it in and keep it high. This includes writing unit, integration and E2E tests
• Own and operate the backend of New10 together with your teammates by rotating through on-call incident management shifts
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies
• Closely collaborate and ensure alignment with the rest of the team – frontend, Salesforce, PO, business analyst, UX designer and data analyst
