New York Licensed Clinical Documentation Writer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Query Writer to facilitate and distribute compliant queries for optimal quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write concise queries in accordance with AHIMA and ACDIS guidelines to ensure accurate medical diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement
  • Review clinical documentation to identify gaps and perform timely follow-ups on queries
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding reimbursement and uphold HIPAA standards
Required Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED; Associate Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in CCA, CCS, CDIP, or CCDS or equivalent
  • ICD-10-CM/PCS Coding Certificate in an approved program preferred
