Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Advertising Sales division is large and complex, but these are the general business areas. Ad sales at NBCU Advertising & Partnerships is a multifaceted operation that supports clients through various specialized teams. The Client Team builds and maintains relationships with advertisers, while Ad Strategy and Programmatic ensure targeted and data-driven ad placements. Global Planning and Agency Planning focus on media planning across regions and agencies. Digital Sales Operations handles the technical aspects of digital ad delivery, with Account Services providing client support. Creative Partnerships craft innovative ad content, and Sports Sales capitalizes on NBCU's extensive sports portfolio. Finally, Marketing and Brand Partnerships drive collaborative campaigns, while Data, Measurements, Insights analyze performance to optimize strategies.

Media planning & Business Operations:
Social Media Partnership: The Social Partnerships Team builds and operates a portfolio of ad sales partnerships with leading and emerging digital platforms, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and more. That includes identifying profitable revenue opportunities, developing the structure, capabilities, go-to-market strategies, and execution plans necessary to capture growth opportunities and driving those plans to implementation and through ongoing operations. We are within the Ad Sales organization and a part of the greater Partnerships team. We partner closely with the sales teams and content teams to manage and drive rapid revenue growth.
Skycastle, Social: produces native content and manages paid social campaigns for all local stations. Interns support us researching, writing and translating content, and monitoring social campaigns.
Communications: From an external communications standpoint, you will support communications responsibilities, including executive communications, media relations and administrative support
Commerce Partnerships: Commerce Partnerships is an emerging business within Josh Feldman’s Marketing & Brand Partnerships organization. Our team’s work centers around creating shoppable entertainment across any platform where NBCU content lives. We are working to fulfill the long sought-after dream to - either with a click of a button or tap of a remote -instantly purchase the amazing products and services you see in tv shows, digital content, social platforms, virtual worlds, and more.
Marketing & Brand Partnerships: The Marketing Brand and Partnership teams are responsible for developing creative and custom concepts for different clients. Some teams have the opportunity to work with events, generating marketing solutions for clients like Peacock, News Development, and high profile markets such as Apple, AT&T, BMW, Delta, Diageo, L’Oreal, Nissan/Infiniti, Pepsi, State Farm, Uber, VW, Wells Fargo and more.
Planning: The planning roles consist of the pre-sale support team (Strategic Planning, Platform Monetization) as well as the post-sale support team (Account Services). The Strategic Planning team is one of the largest entities in Ad Sales and supports the Account Executives and Account Directors with pre-sale campaign planning, including pricing, inventory, ad placement, etc.
Digital Sports Pricing & Planning: The Digital Sports Pricing & Planning Intern provides support to the Sport Digital Pricing & Planning team. This role will aid the Pricing & Planning team in ensuring campaigns are properly managed, internal systems are reflecting accurate information and assisting our team in driving revenue to the organization. These projects will surround our properties such as the NFL, NBA, Big Ten, Premier League and more!
Streaming & Data Products: This intern will be responsible for assisting all aspects of digital sales planning and inventory management and providing timely and accurate information to the planning, sales and inventory team. This includes assisting with building of media plans, order entry, Op1 modifications/optimizations, weekly deal stewardship, quality assurance checks, invoice reconciliation, ad-hoc reporting and assisting with inventory, process and guideline documentation.
Data, Measurement & Insights: This intern will have the opportunity to pull data from research tools, dashboards and data files from vendors to gather insights about campaign performance. They will also create presentations that communicate campaign results, insights and recommendations in visually compelling formats. The intern will also have the opportunity to be exposed to and support across the entire CC&A team with the goal of gaining various skills and knowledge of the organization at large.
Ad Platforms & Operations: The AP&O team develops products that are sold in market, builds platforms that allow Ad Sales to operate our business efficiently, and ingest and analyze data that makes our division more knowledgeable about our business
Account Services: This intern will have the opportunity to support client deliverables across the campaign lifecycle, focusing on data-driven insights and work with client services and cross functional teams.
Sales:
Center of Excellence, Ad & Partnerships: The CoE team partners directly with the sales leadership team as a trusted advisor, focused on strategic planning, sales optimization, sales training, and business operational support. The CoE provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive internal effectiveness and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations and help evolve early-stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. Additionally, the CoE team aggregates knowledge across the division, and build tools and resources for increased productivity
Communications: From an external communications standpoint, you will support communications responsibilities, including executive communications, media relations and administrative support.
Local: The NBC Local Sports Partnership Development team leads the division's local sports strategy and execution. Working on all aspects of our client direct pursuit efforts. From compiling client info to category info, presentation creation the intern will never have the same day experience twice. Will be very involved in Milan Olympics, Super Bowl and World Cup prep to name our largest tentpoles.
Research: Supporting sales research for NBCULocal in various different properties such as NBC Owned Stations, Telemundo Station Group, NBC Sports Regional Networks, COZI TV, Telexitos and more!
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026). December 2025 graduates are not eligible for our 2025-2026 Academic Year Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026.
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
