POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in all activities relating to MLB Youth Academy baseball instruction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Assist in the preparation, planning and implementing all baseball instruction
including workouts, camps, clinics, gameplay, etc.
● Assist the baseball Coordinator and Baseball Instructors in selecting players for
travel teams, showcases, camps, etc.
● Help to coordinate all baseball activities and organize schedules for baseball
instruction.
● Help to coordinate, facilitate, and organize all baseball workouts, camps, and
clinics.
● Coach Academy baseball teams in workouts and gameplay as necessary
● Submit reports to the Coordinator, Baseball Instruction as deemed necessary
● Perform assigned tasks for special events and programs as directed by
Coordinator, Baseball Instruction or Academy Director

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Experience as a player, coach or instructor
● Organized, efficient, and consistent positive communication skills
● Team player ready to take direction
● Solid organizational and scheduling skills
● Possess the ability to organize baseball workouts and gameplay
● Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and computer
scheduling programs
● Able to instruct all facets of baseball
Travel – 25% local overnight travel expected around All Star and Spring Break events.

Pay Rate: $15-$17

Pay Range: $17.50 - $19 per hour
