Family Nurse Practitioner / Primary Care

The Role Medici Onsite is actively seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM starting in July.   This individual will care for a pediatric and adult patient population (city employees and dependents) at both our on-site clinic and in our new Mobile Unit which travels to various City of Albuquerque facilities/departments.  This individual will be required to drive the mobile unit which is fully supported with RN staff.  Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.  No late clinics, no weekends, no after-hours charting and NO CALL.  

• Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
• Assist with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
• Facilitate the patient’s transition within and between healthcare settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
• Facilitate staff, patient and family decision-making by providing educational tools

• Master's degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New MexicoCurrent Nurse Practitioner Certification in the specialty area of focusCurrent provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility
• Two to four years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Teaching skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Strong listening skills, organization, time management, teamwork, and a deep sense of empathy and compassion to their work
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to provide accurate, effective care in stressful situations
