Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Biller in the US Healthcare sector, offering a remote work opportunity during midshift hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately and timely
• Verify insurance filing information and patient registration data, and prepare and transmit claims using billing software
• Follow up on unpaid claims, research denied claims, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
• Ability to perform eligibility verification and precertification
• Familiarity with posting ERA and EOB from various systems
• Credentialing knowledge is a plus
