Position Overview
A Technical Operations Engineer in Measured is responsible to ensure smooth and efficient operation of Measured platform/applications. This role focuses mainly on maintaining the application uptime, optimizing the performance of infrastructure and addressing client and product issues promptly. Role also involves monitoring the health status of Measured platform/application and resolving incidents.
Monitoring Infrastructure and resolve incidents
- Monitoring the health status and performance of our platforms, data infrastructure and client data.
- Respond to alerts promptly, create tickets and manage the resolution of incidents in a timely and effective manner per defined SLA's.
- Collaborate with Customer success,engineering,product and business analyst teams to identify root cause of issues and implement measures to avoid happening again.
Platform Support & Troubleshooting:
- Work on a prioritized task list across multiple clients and complete them in SLA agreement.
- Monitoring and maintenance of data loading, data quality, etc. to meet expectations.
- Build and maintain privacy preserving data Clean Room.
- Onboard the vendors by gathering the requirements with clients and CS and complete them within agreed timeline.
- Perform the QA and optimize the data to eliminate any discrepancies in data.
- Work closely with engineering, product and business analysts to upgrade the infrastructure, code push, migrations and testing on a regular basis.
Performance Optimization
- Analyze the performance of the platform to ensure fast response and availability.
- Maintain the existing knowledge base that includes the how to articles, troubleshooting guide, etc.
- Regularly review the existing internal support process/procedures to identify the bottlenecks, areas of improvements and inefficient processes and take appropriate action to correct them.
Automation & Scripting:
- Develop and implement automation scripts and monitoring tools to streamline operational workflows to reduce the efforts and allow teams to handle more complex issues that require human intervention.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards for performance and system health tracking.
Communicate,Collaborate & Document :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business analysts & customer success) to align on best practices for operations
- Maintain documentation for triage/troubleshooting process, procedures and vendor guides.
- Ability to write incident reports with root cause analysis and effectively communicate with the stakeholders.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering field.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience troubleshooting technical problems in software products.
- 2-3 years of experience writing scripts in SQL, Javascript, nodejs, Java, python and Angular
- Real time experience working on Cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores like MySQL / Postgres or Redshift.
- Practical experience in developing and testing RESTful APIs, using tools like Postman for API testing and debugging, and building custom adapters to integrate diverse systems and applications
- Familiar with using GitHub for version control, managing app updates with CodePush, and performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks to handle data processing
- Familiarity with working on projects and ticket management platforms like JIRA.
- Knowledge on Ad Tech platforms in Facebook, Google, Shopify, Pinterest, etc. preferred.
- Flexible team player with a mindset of working with developers and solution architects.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to explain issues with clarity and execute resolutions in a time-bound fashion.
